"Miss Jan" McCorkle

My name is Jan McCorkle.  I go by "Miss Jan" at Shining Stars.  I have been with the preschool since it was started.  My children were 3rd and 5th grade then.  Now Megan and Joshua have graduated college, are gainfully employed and happily married.  Time has flown by.  My husband, Max, and I have been married over 30 years.  Besides preschool, I teach piano lessons, sing in my church choir and Praise Ensemble and have taken up bike riding.

"Miss Rochelle" Brestar

I began working for Shining Stars during the 2010-2011 school year.  I have lived in Kennewick since 2007.  My two young children are Kaden and Kylie.  I really enjoy teaching, being outdoors, and four-wheeling.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year!

"Miss Christie" Deneen

This is my first year here at Shining Stars.  I have lived in the Tri-Cities for 29 years.  My usband, Robert, and I have three children: Natalie who is 9, Cody who is 7, and Cole who is 3.

"Miss Schelle" (Michelle) Pfister

This is my first year at Shining Stars and I look forward to a fun and wonderful school year.  I was born and raised in the Tri-Cities, with some short stops as an adult in Pullman, Seattle, Portland and Denver.  My husband of 9 years, Josh, works at the Hanford Reach Area and I am retired from the US Postal Service.  Together we have two sons, Nathan 8 and Roman 5 that provide me with a great adventure every day.  My hobby is to sing in a Blues band here in town for the last three to four years.

"Miss Wendy" Shepherd

I have been with Shining Stars since 2003 and have taken Early Childhood Education at CBC.  My husband, Dennis works for Allvac in Richland.  Dennis and I have two children.
